Pilates I Introductory Session
Introduces new student to the principles of Pilates and the basic elements of a Pilates workout. Sequences include standing and stretching exercises in addition to the standard mat exercises without equipment providing a full body workout for a beginning client. Anyone who wants to get a complete workout in half the time. The participant will work on aerobic endurance, muscular resistance, flexibility and joint mobility, all at the same time.
Non-impact strengthening and stretching movements that require precise breathing and muscle control. Practicing Pilates in the water develops trunk stabilization, enhances muscle strength, helps correct posture, and relieves stress. This series of exercises initiates all of the movements from the abdominal, lower back, hip and buttocks, and flows outwards to the extremities. Clients immersed in warm water use the natural resistance to increase muscular strength, endurance, and relax muscles. The warm water also facilitates range of motion around the joints.
